Like last year (and the year prior despite "only" being pregnant), I didn't get any present, any card, flowers or even wishes.

As I was once not single [...] I know having a partner doesn't mean being celebrated as a mum which I find ridiculously awful. Women (and for a fact many men too) need reassuring. Yes, anyone can be a bad partner. But please, take a step back, is your partner making your child(ren) happy and healthy ? Then why don't you tell them. Show them.
CELEBRATE THEM !
When I turned 18, I'd go buy lingerie on Valentine's Day for myself when single. I just love lingerie and don't care if I can't show any of it to a man.
So yesterday, I bought lingerie. (... and nappies, dummies, baby sandals, toys and baby clothing)
I am a fantastic mummy ! And to you, feeling lonely in-or-out of a relationship, running after your toddler spreading yoghurt all over the house then throwing them in the bath with their clothes on whilst you clean it all up - and you, having your teenager slam the door and screaming you're the worst person ever - YES, YOU ! - you're a fabulous mummy too.
*this post also applies on Father's Day. Please replace "mummy" by "daddy". Love all around.
