Maybe I haven't spent enough time around pregnant people.
Maybe I have been ignoring the truth.
Maybe EVERYONE lies.
I spent my first trimester - mostly working on tour as part of a technical crew - feeling nauseous, ill and huge. It was tough hiding it all from the rest of the company and some did find out, possibly after confessing to the touring physio as I was unable to get X-rays done when I fell and hurt my elbow.
If we were to eat out or cook at the hotel, picking what to eat was the biggest dilemma of my life - I just never felt hungry and thinking of food was putting me off even more.
Anyway, the common thought about pregnancy is that you will be able to stuff your face as you HAVE to eat for two.
Sorry ladies, but in reality it is much, much more complicated than that.
An example below, when we went to have a Sunday roast at The Blue Pig in Manchester (Northern Quarter).
I have been eating half portions. Baby portions. Thank you England for doggy bags as I could have just as well thrown out notes out of the window.
